Deleting your data

This page explains how to have your data removed, including anything obtained through Facebook or Instagram. Meta requires platforms to publish this, and it is a fair thing to publish anyway.

Which of these are you?

I bought something from a shop that uses TILLD

Ask the shop. Your order and contact details belong to that shop's records — they decide, not us. Every TILLD shop has a contact route on its own site, and you can also ask us at [email protected]: we will pass your request to the shop within two working days and confirm to you that we have.

What cannot be deleted, and why: where you have actually bought something, the shop must keep the transaction record for six years for HMRC. Your contact details can be removed; the record that a sale happened cannot. That is the law, not our preference.

I run or work in a shop that uses TILLD

Email [email protected] from the address we hold for you. We will remove your personal details and deactivate your sign-in. Records of actions you took in the shop are kept for two years and attributed to a deactivated account after that — the shop needs to be able to answer "who booked that delivery in" even after someone has left.

I connected a Facebook or Instagram page

Two ways, and either is enough:

  1. From TILLD: Office → Settings → Integrations → disconnect. This revokes our access immediately and deletes the stored connection.
  2. From Facebook: Settings → Business Integrations → remove TILLD. Meta notifies us and we delete the connection and any cached page data within 30 days.

We hold no copy of your followers or your messages, so there is nothing further to remove.

I joined the waiting list

Email us and you are off it the same day. There is nothing else attached to you.

How long it takes

We respond within one month, and usually within a few days. If a request needs the shop to act, we will tell you that and who is dealing with it rather than leaving you waiting.
